The area around Agriturismo La Quercia is ideal for cultivating vines and olive trees, which also shape the region’s characteristic landscape. The farm produces Extra Virgin Olive Oil which our guests can taste and purchase at the “Corner of Flavours” at the estate, where other traditional Maremma products are also available.
In October and November, freshly pressed olive oil is available in tins from 0.25 to 5 litres.
During the summer months, our guests at Agriturismo La Quercia can enjoy tastings of traditional Maremma specialties at organised evening events in the garden surrounding the property.
The unspoilt nature of the surrounding area provides the perfect setting for horseback riding. Just a few kilometres from our property a well-equipped riding centre offers horseback excursions. . There is the possibility to organise day trips, crossing the nearby Trasubbie stream and reaching the Scansano hills either in groups or on individual excursions accompanied by experienced guides. Our location, close to many points of interest, will allow our guests to reach many enchanting places easily on horseback.
Discover the wonders of the Maremma, starting with the archaeological sites such as Roselle, Vetulonia and Populonia. This land is also full of historic towns steeped in traditions — like Pitigliano, Sovana, Sorano and many others.
For those who love relaxation and wellness, the Saturnia thermal baths — about 40 km from the Agriturismo — are not to be missed.
For outdoor enthusiasts, the Maremma Natural Park offers guided walks or trails you can follow independently.
During your stay at Agriturismo La Quercia we suggest visiting two outstanding local producers — among the finest in the Maremma: Caseificio Quadalti (excellent dairy products) and Antichi Gusti di Maremma, which has passionately worked for years to promote the authentic flavours of the past;
accompanied by noble wines such as Montecucco, Morellino di Scansano, Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino.
